Presentation of the book “Delicious Vegetarian” by Hans Peter Taucher with 30 simple, easy-to-cook and illustrated recipes that have proven in 30 years of professional life that you can prepare quick dinners, which are also suitable for transport to work. The ingredients are easy to obtain and the cooking time is usually less than 30 minutes. Inspirations originated from all over the world through preoccupation with vegetarian nutrition and plant based nutrition for over 30 years. The book also describes my path to vegetarian nutrition: From someone, who wanted to eat meat daily, to someone who does not miss meat consumption and has learned to love the versatility of vegetarian food. It describes how the aftermath of the youth movement spreaded into a small idyllic town and brought about significant changes to me.

Vegetarian cooking / vegan cooking

In the 30 years of vegetarian diet I have had good experiences with it. Actually, I started cooking vegetarian 40 years ago, it was not that easy at the time. At that time vegetarian diet was still abnormal, one was an outsider, was sometimes assigned sects and questioned the survivability. The food supply was very limited.
Today, large supermarkets often carry 50,000 items. Although 70% of these are sugar water, sweet and sour snacks, ready meals with no significant nutritional value or alcohol, there is still a wide choice. There are now also shelves with vegetarian and vegan products. Sometimes also 2 or 3 of these shelves “vegetarian and vegan”.
Some food manufacturers also sell vegan products based on traditional dishes that taste very good: vegan sausages, vegan pepper schnitzel, vegan schnitzel classic, vegan burgers, vegan grilled fillets, smoked tofu, patty classic, vegan meats, vegan cheese, egg substitute powder, vegan chocolate, etc .. These products are also vegetarian: vegetarian sausages, vegetarian patties, vegetarian sausage, veggie nuggets. All you have to do is find the supplier whose products you like.
There is no shortage of vegan, plant based or vegetarian food.
