The company Balticovo in Lettland exports 1,8 million eggs a day from battery-caged chickens.

Most of it into the EU, even though battery caging is forbidden since 2012!

How? By transitional permits of the EU.

When chickens get 20 months old, they get slaughtered and frozen. In 2017 the EU exported 720 000 US tons of boiling chickens and chicken remains into Africa and flooded there the market with cheap chickens. This industry is supported by taxpayers money and there they ruin the local markets. Farmers there cannot sell their products anymore, not only chicken farmers,also vegetable- fruit- and cereal farmers. EU causing unemployment in Africa!
